Today marks a new era for me in affiliate marketing with my first blog launched right here, right now. I will be writing about my experiences with pay per click (ppc) marketing. I have been doing ppc for over a year now with moderate success. Unfortunately not enough to leave my job but I am getting a very welcome additional monthly income. The key to becoming an affiliate marketer is to be able to take risks, think outside the box and not worry what anyone tells you to do… just do it.

I have, as well as many thousands of affiliate marketers, been using pay per click marketing to advertise on search engines such as Google , Yahoo, Msn and many more, to promote affiliate products. The products do not belong to me, I basically joined what is called a ‘cpa network’ (cost per action). Joining these networks allows me to promote pretty much any niche on the Internet. It could be online dating, auto insurance, iPods, baby diapers, you name it…

Basically what I do is buy online advertising and send it straight to the offer I promote and I get paid as soon as the offer converts. The art to this is quite obvious… it’s to double your investment. If every 1$ spent on advertising makes you a return of 2$ then you’re in profit. But just imagine if you are doing this 1000 times per day! Now we’re talking.
