Customer Support

They have the best support system you could ever ask for. They are very quick in giving live chat, phone in and email support from their technical staffs to respond to customer problems.

There are still a number of Hostgator reviews that you can go through and all of them speak about how outstanding the quality of performance a Hostgator hosting is. Indeed this is the best hosting company you can trust for in your web hosting needs. Sign up your plans now with Hostgator and not with the competitor.

When I decided to build my first website I was faced with a long list of choices and tasks. One of which was to decide who I was going to use for my web hosting. After a lot of research and hours of time reading reviews I decided to try HostGator. I was a complete novice with regards to the fine art of putting together a website and SEO etc, so to be honest I expected the whole process to be quite intimidating. With HostGator I found the truth to be quite different.

I found it very easy to set up my membership with regards to payment and selecting a plan. The plans by the way are very straight forward and very fairly priced, to be fair they are actually very cheap considering the amount of features and the amazing amount of support on offer. They have 3 plans, the hatchling, the baby and the business plan. The hatchling is a decent plan, but only allows one domain to be hosted.

The baby plan is only a dollar more and is quite a different beast due to the fact you can host unlimited domains, so value for money definitely rests in the baby plan. The business plan is, as its name suggests, aimed for the business website owner, the main perk of this is to have your own toll free phone number for your site/business. The baby plan best suited my needs because I was planning to have multiple sites so needed the unlimited domain names, so I signed up for the baby plan and proceeded from there.

After setting up the account details etc I looked to getting my site uploaded for the world to view. Let me say this, I was no expert on websites and hosting etc at the time and I was quite daunted by the prospect of FTP uploading etc. But let me just take a moment to say that the tech support was phenomenal.

They can be reached 24 hours a day via the instant chat messenger support and are patient, informative and will stay with you until you are completely satisfied that any problems or questions you have are resolved. Within a few minutes of signing up and contacting the online tech support, my website was up and running with my mind at ease.

I have used HostGator for around 3 years now and they have surpassed their 99.99% up time promise. I have not experienced 1 second of website downtime due to their service. I personally would not choose any one else for my hosting service.

Hostgator discount codes

hostdeal567

hostgatorcheap10

hostgator1dollar

I wont bother writing up on a huge list of domain registrars that offer cheap domain registration because for me i only use two companies they are Namecheap and Godaddy.

They are both very well established and well respected domain registrars and they are able to offer 90% of the time a cheaper price than most other domain registrars, also I found there control panel domain management system so easy to navigate use, honestly when it comes to locating your domains and extending your domain contracts or even cancelling them they do make it easy not like some other domain registrars which i wont mention.

Here is my report on the comparison in prices when it comes to a purchase of a domain name from either namecheap or godaddy.

Both domain registrars have a benefit depending on the domain name extension you want, so what you see below is a comparison of the top level domains on September 28, 2009.

VRS

Godaddy

Namecheap

Best Value

.com

$10.69

$9.69

Best Value Namecheap

.org

$14.99

$9.69

Best Value Namecheap

.net

$8.99

$9.69

Best Value Godaddy

.us

$4.99

$8.88

Best Value Godaddy

.info

$0.89

$2.98

Best Value Godaddy

You can see by the table that if you wanted a domain registrar that can provide cheap domain registration you can see you would end up using maybe two or three domain registrars depending on the country you live in, I find that both Namecheap and Godaddy are good enough and cheap enough to buy domains from.

If you have not read the post on how to register a domain name take a look at it as it shows you how namecheaps interface looks like and the whole process how its done which is probably simple for most people doing business on the internet but I believe a nice simple guide to getting started or even for someone wanting to get familiar with namecheaps interface.

The .com domain extension is not available which would have been my first choice but in this example i will select the .org and and simply add it to cart.

I hope your reading this how do i register a domain name example as once you do this it will be alot easier registering your domain names. Time to get your credit card ready and make a decision weather you want the domain name for more than 1 year or not, I feel the decision is simple if you want to create a good website then purchase it for more than one year the reason i say this is because have read or heard from some super affiliates that google takes the length of the duration of the domain name being purchased for over a year in a better light than one being purchased for one year. This makes sense as to me that google would like this as there all about giving a quality experience to its users using there search engine so this can be looked at giving you an added google bonus if you end up ranking for keywords on the search engines. but if your building an affiliate landing page with the domain you purchased then its up to you on how long you want that domain for, so my advice if you plan to build a quality site and your happy with the domain name your going to purchase then then go for at least 2 years or more. If its a simple domain that you need quick then one year will do. You have learnt one part of how do i register a domain name read on.

If google uses in there algorythms a way to check domain name registry duration you can see logically that google would prefer a domain name that has been bought with the intention of creating a good website judging it by the duration of the domain registry, not to say you don’t have the intention with a domain name bought for one year but its quite a different mentality that is for me it is, if i want to create a great website then my intention is for the long run, now if i just wanted a domain were i may use it to test out or drive traffic to as an experiment on a pay per click campaign then one year would be good enough.

Also with namecheap you get 1 years whoisguard which protects your name and address to be available to the public from anyone trying to do a domain name check on you which is also a bonus but remember next year they will be charging around $7 for this and that does depend if you want to keep your domain name though.

There has been a new buzz that I have seen and participated myself on now the availability of the .cm domains which are the domain extensions from the country of Cameroon.

Now whats great about these domains are the potential for misspelling of the .com extension here is an example of data found from domain misspellings from 3 of the most popular sites on the Internet.

It’s not only possible to get a ton of free misspelled traffic from these domains but its also an opportunity to get a one word domain which is practically impossible now with most domain name extensions. I have been taking this opportunity to purchase single word domains but the problem is there not cheap, some of these registrars are charging $799 for 2 years of the purchase of the .cm domains which they are taking advantage of the potential of the .cm as its very similar to a .com in appearance.

Here is some good news that am willing to share, when it comes to buying .cm domains and that is Namecheap are offering .cm domains at a price of $104.99 to me this was a bargain as i was going crazy finding these .cm registrars selling the cm domain name being sold for between $150-$300 per year and that’s not including taxes on top of that.

I remember having talks with friends about domains and how we should have bought lots of domains 10 – 12 years ago but the truth is we did not really have a true vision of the future to see the power of domains and when you realise it then becomes obviously to late to do any thing about it because everyone has saturated the market and bought these domain names up even misspellings are pretty hard to find.

Domain names are true real estate and are a great investment if you can spend 1000 dollars on 10 domains with the .cm extension its definitely worth considering as an investment because you don’t want to look at this opportunity 10 years from now and say I wish i bought a few .cm domains when I could have gotten single word domains.

Check them out at Namecheap and see if you can uncover some gold nuggets.

Google Adwords is without doubt one the best ways to market either your own product or affiliate products online. How this works is the user pays google to be listed on there search engine results page, these adverts appear on the top and right hand side of the search results, so for example you type in a keyword in the search bar of google lets say you type auto insurance you will see for this search term adds at the top in a different colour background and also adds on the right hand side.

although now in 2008 Google are making it more difficult for advertisers to promote certain affiliate products online due to what is commonly known as the google slap which i will cover at a later date. The main thing to understand is when you use google adwords you are buying traffic and sending it to your landing page or an affiliate offer.

Today marks a new era for me in affiliate marketing with my first blog launched right here, right now. I will be writing about my experiences with pay per click (ppc) marketing. I have been doing ppc for over a year now with moderate success. Unfortunately not enough to leave my job but I am getting a very welcome additional monthly income. The key to becoming an affiliate marketer is to be able to take risks, think outside the box and not worry what anyone tells you to do… just do it.

I have, as well as many thousands of affiliate marketers, been using pay per click marketing to advertise on search engines such as Google , Yahoo, Msn and many more, to promote affiliate products. The products do not belong to me, I basically joined what is called a ‘cpa network’ (cost per action). Joining these networks allows me to promote pretty much any niche on the Internet. It could be online dating, auto insurance, iPods, baby diapers, you name it…

Basically what I do is buy online advertising and send it straight to the offer I promote and I get paid as soon as the offer converts. The art to this is quite obvious… it’s to double your investment. If every 1$ spent on advertising makes you a return of 2$ then you’re in profit. But just imagine if you are doing this 1000 times per day! Now we’re talking.
